about

"Žilina" was born in 2016, when Matteo Tambussi and Marek K spent 2 weeks in the city of Žilina making a record about people lives in this part of Slovakia.

It was all about sneaking into strange situations and use those experiences for the compositions.

Matteo Tambussi about "Žilina":

"I was there in August with my pal Marek Kuchta, living and working in the attic of this old train station now serving as a cultural center too.

Together we collected small talk and personal stories from the city's life and turned the material into songs. Every day an encounter, a writing session and on recording from 16:00 till the morning after. €100 recording equipment, this is real lo-fi. Average of 7 to 10 espressos a day (*+£$*%)"
